The Hotel
Located about 30km upstream from Zambia's iconic Victoria Falls, Royal Chundu is known for its tranquil setting, excellent service and river experiences. River Lodge is the largest of the two, with 10 riverfront suites that have private wooden decks that overlook the river. This lodge is ideal for families and larger groups. Island Lodge has only four villas, and naturally is very private and exclusive. Each villa has a large private deck and incredible river views, with some featuring open-air bathtubs. This romantic retreat is a tranquil escape on Katombora Island for those seeking serenity, honeymooners and couples.

At both lodges, guests can enjoy various nature and wildlife activities including birding safaris, river cruises, fishing, canoeing, sunset cruises, and guided walks. Trips to Victoria Falls are also easily accessible, with River Lodge having its own helicopter pad. While Island Lodge has a more intimate feel, with a shared lounge, dining spaces, infinity pool and bar.
