Designed to welcome families to the safari experience, Mvuu Camp overlooks the Shire River in the Liwonde National Park. Stone and canvas chalets have specifically designed with families in mind to welcome the littlest members of the family to experience the wonders of African wildlife. As floodplains, the wildlife here is in abundance, with herds of elephants, reedbuck, waterbuck, sables and even it’s own rich population of Hippos. As part of conservation efforts the lodge has assisted in the reintroduction of buffalo, zebra, black rhino and other endangered species into The Sanctuary. Over 400 species of birdlife are to be spotted throughout the landscape. As the wildlife is in abundance and are among the gentle giants of the animal kingdom, it is the perfect start to little ones looking to explore. River safaris take you cruising the Shire River to get close to the water dwelling animals. Nature walks will teach you about the native flora and fauna of the area whilst game drives will whisk you through the diverse wildlife spottings.
