Scotland is a land of rolling green and cobbled streets and perfect for this self-drive adventure by rail and foot. Starting in Glasgow, venture down the iconic West Highland Line, with the shores of Loch Lomond and Kitchum Castle lining your way to the quaint town of Oban. Leaving Oban behind, it’s on to Fort William and one of the greatest railway journeys awaits. The ever popular, Jacobite Steam Train takes you through the highest peaks, deepest lochs and the iconic Glenfinnan Viaduct out of the wizarding world of Harry Potter. After a seafood lunch at Mallaig harbour, embark the train back to Fort William. Next stop, Inverness known as the capital of the highlands and the gateway to The Cairngorms National Park. From the mountains your journey ends in the lowlands and the Edinburgh streets. Meander through narrow alleyways and hidden courtyards before soaking in the panoramic city views from the surrounding heights.
