Slow down the pace with this deep dive into Southern California and Palm Springs. Often lesser travelled than other parts, south of Los Angeles offers some stunning scenery and coastline and should be discovered sooner rather than later. Start off by flying into Los Angeles - traditionally more famous for the film industry and all that it entails; we love it's multitude of attractions outside of this - Santa Monica, Malibu and hiking Runyon Canyon are all highlights plus the more traditional pursuits of shopping on Rodeo Drive and hitting the bars in West Hollywood. You will be doing this trip in the comfort of a convertible to maximise the 360 days of sunshine a year. After LA you will head down to the relaxing pleasures of Orange County for 2 nights before heading inland to the desert town of Palm Springs. End the trip in laid back style in the relaxing coastal city of San Diego - with sand between your toes you will enjoy some great farm to table cuisine and relax on the beach with a beer in hand. This trip provides a relaxed way to take in Southern California and the desert – we love the pace of San Diego and atmosphere of Palm Springs – both provide a lovely contrast to Los Angeles.
- Arriving into Los Angeles international airport you will pick up a convertible car at the airport – yours for the duration of your trip
- Beginning in West Hollywood, you will spend 4 nights in the Petit Hermitage
- You will leave LA and drive down the Pacific Coast highway to your next stop in Orange County
- You will stay for 2 nights in the Resort at Pelican Hill , Orange County – a great base from which to explore Southern California
- Driving inland to Palm Springs, you will stay for 2 nights
- After leaving Palm Springs you will head to San Diego to explore for your final 3 nights before heading home
