Conceived as an extension of the Four Seasons philosophy, the project reimagines ocean travel through a lens of architectural calm, elevated service, and intimate scale, where every detail is designed to feel intentional rather than indulgent.

In conversation with Four Seasons Yachts CEO Ben Trodd, the ambition becomes clear: this is not a cruise in the traditional sense, but a curated experience of movement and place.

What makes this a Four Seasons experience at sea?

At its core, Four Seasons Yachts feels like a natural extension of the Four Seasons brand’s long-standing commitment to thoughtful service, beautiful design, and extraordinary experiences, brought to life at sea. Built on 65 years of operating some of the world’s greatest hotels, it reflects lessons learned and refined over decades of hospitality excellence. Yet what makes it distinct is how intentionally the experience has been designed for this environment, translating that philosophy into something that feels close to private yachting, with the hospitality of a world-class resort.

With just 95 residential-style suites, the experience is intentionally intimate and centred on privacy and personalisation. From the rotating Chef-in-Residence program featuring Michelin-recognised Four Seasons chefs to our wellness offerings and curated Sea & Shore experiences, every element is shaped around the individual guest.

Combined with access to exclusive ports and yacht-only harbours, Four Seasons Yachts offers a new way to experience the brand, pairing the freedom and flexibility of a private yacht with the service and design that define Four Seasons.

What’s the one moment guests won’t forget?

Our Marina Days are designed to bring guests closer to the water in a way that feels both effortless and immersive. We anchor in destinations such as Folegandros and the French Riviera, and the Yacht itself turns into a gateway to the sea. This is a feature that is relatively rare at this scale within yachting, and one that helps set the experience we offer apart. Our transverse marina opens directly onto the water, allowing guests to swim, enjoy both adventurous and leisurely activities, or simply take in the natural beauty. It’s a rare moment where the journey and the destination become one and, hopefully, a memory that stays with guests long after they leave.

In addition to the external experiences, we know guests will be equally shaped by their interactions with the people working on board. The yacht is built with a hospitality-first mindset, bringing the brand’s longstanding commitment to service to life in a distinctly maritime context.

One word to describe the yacht?

Intentional.

Your must-do onboard experience?

An evening at Miuna, our speakeasy-style omakase restaurant, is always a highlight. It is an intentionally intimate experience, and one that stands comfortably alongside some of the finest restaurants on land. The quality of the fish is exceptional, and the Bluefin tuna is a particular standout to me.

Equally essential is carving out time for the yacht’s wellness experiences. Our spa and wellness offering is guided by the Five Elements of Vitality, with experiences designed to support balance across mind, body, and environment. It’s a more holistic and personal expression of wellness, and I’m particularly drawn to the Ignae Azorean Rebirth Body Ritual – a treatment inspired by the natural beauty of the Azores.

Which voyage are you most excited about?

I’m especially excited about our Adriatic voyages. The port of Komiža in Croatia, in particular, is an unspoiled gem. It’s a destination where natural beauty, culture, and history effortlessly converge. What excites me most is that guests don’t have to choose between adventure, discovery, or relaxation on our voyages. They can experience it all, seamlessly, within a single journey with the help of our team.

How personalised is the experience?

Personalization is at the heart of everything we do. With a 1:1 guest-to-staff ratio, every aspect of the journey is tailored. Our Experience Team connects with guests in advance to understand their preferences, from dining and wellness to how they want to explore each destination. Whether on board or ashore, every moment is designed to feel intuitive, seamless, and entirely their own.

What’s your favourite spot onboard?

I have many, but I’m especially drawn to the Horizon Lounge. It’s an adults-only space, designed to evoke the spirit of Mediterranean beach clubs. It’s rooted in a sense of nostalgia, yet equally about creating new memories. I often find myself there at sunset, enjoying a cocktail and the spectacular views with friends and family as the light fades into evening. As day turns to night, it becomes a natural setting for stargazing, and one of the most special places on board.
