Safari

The charming camp of Mbamba is an ideal choice for travellers seeking an authentic safari experience.

The Hotel

Low-key, refined and classic, Mbamba is designed in the iconic Ralph Bousfield safari-style, offering 12 canvas tents, 2 of which are reserved for families. You’re in the heart of the wild here, tucked under leadwood trees, and with views from the raised wooden decks over the plains of the northern Okavango Delta. Bold and rich textures are used throughout the camp – a contrast to the golden tones of its surroundings. Think Persian rugs, mahogany furniture, four-poster beds and yesteryear charm.

Amenities

While at camp, take a dip in the camp swimming pool, or as night falls, go stargazing at the fire pit. Every morning and afternoon, you’re invited to see the wild up-close on game drives with knowledgeable guides. There’s also boating and mokoro safaris, bird watching, and helicopter trips for those seeking elevated exploration.

Dining and drinking

Your rate here is fully inclusive of meals and local drinks, meaning there’s nothing for you to think about. Meals are taken in the mess area, draped in deep red fabrics and brimming with ancient artefacts. Guests are invited to relax in two lounges, where post-game drive drinks with a book from the small library are best enjoyed.
