After a two-year $100 million renovation, the uber-stylish W New York – Union Square re-opens its doors in September 2025.

The Hotel

Set in the heart of the vibrant Union Square neighbourhood, where Downtown and Uptown meet, the W New York – Union Square offers a lavish escape located within an iconic Beaux-Arts landmark. The hotel has an extravagant personality, adorned in velvet, spirited colours, and bold designs inspired by the city – think splashes of taxi-cab yellow, crosswalk-inspired colour palettes in the bathrooms, and a nod to metropolitan style and sophistication throughout. There are 256 guest rooms, from spacious entry-level options to studio suites and penthouses.

If you aren’t out and about exploring the Big Apple, you might find yourself in the fully equipped on-site gym, open 24/7 for night owls, featuring state-of-the-art Technogym equipment, Peloton bikes, and personal trainers at your request.

Dining & drinking

The hotel’s signature restaurant, Seahorse, is open for hearty breakfasts and elegant dinners, as well as in-room dining exclusively for hotel guests. Here, guests can savour a true taste of the city, with its menu drawing on everything NYC. The Living Room Bar and Lounge is an area designed for socialising and laidback bites. By day, snack on coffee and pastries, and as night falls, the energy heightens and the lights lower, creating an intimate ambience perfect for post-dinner cocktails.
