GNH Hotel, London
Built in 1854, the Great Northern Hotel was the first of the world’s great railway hotels. It is perfectly situated just 25 metres from the Eurostar terminus in the heart of King's Cross St Pancras. A carefully crafted aesthetic celebration of the Grade II listed Victorian architecture with a hint of modernity, creates an aura of timeless elegance. Eternally stylish as opposed to fleetingly fashionable, the GNH offers moments of beauty and inspiration at ever y turn. Free from unnecessary clutter, the rooms are expertly proportioned, with high ceilings and an abundance of natural light through large “six-over- six” sash windows. Plum + Spilt Milk, one of London’s finest destination restaurants, is situated on the first floor of the GNH. Under the direction of celebrated Michel in-star winning chef, Mark Sargeant, the cuisine is Modern British with menus changing throughout the year. Open to the Western Concourse at King’s Cross Station, metres from St Pancras International, KIOSK serves hugely generous hot roast meat sandwiches, along with the delicious, rich Monmouth coffee – just what you need before embarking on your next adventure!
